Moles are annoying.
Let’s be honest, moles aren’t that pretty either.
Depending on the size and location you might want them gone. And we all know that some moles can turn into something cancerous.
But instead of having them cut out by a doctor, we can actually remove them naturally!
I’ve had this annoying mole/skin-tag on my belly for a long time and just wanted it gone. Then I came across apple cider vinegar (ACV) as a remedy to remove them. So I thought I’d give it a go.
How does it work?
Moles are a cluster of cells and get their brown color from the concentration of skin pigment. ACV works by burning the mole and thereby removing it.
ACV has to be applied daily and be left on the mole for several hours to work its magic.
After a while a scab is supposed to form which will then fall off – removing the mole with it.
How it worked for me
I used the cotton tip of an earbud (just the right size for a mole) and soaked it in ACV.
The skin around the mole should be protected. You can do that by applying some coconut oil.
I pressed the soaked cotton on the mole and secured it with a plaster.
Since I had trouble with the plaster keeping the cotton in place, I secured it with a belt (you can use a bandage or something similar).
I then left the ACV on for around 6 hours or overnight.
It took about a week for the mole to turn into a scab.
I stopped applying the ACV and waited for the scab to come off, which took another few days.
When the scab finally came off, the mole was gone!
I’m now left with a little scar that will hopefully disappear more over time.
