A year ago, I received FMT treatment (fecal microbiota transplants, stool transplants) at the Taymount clinic in England. I did it to fix my IBS and SIBO symptoms and restore my low numbers of beneficial gut bacteria. This is an update about the current condition of my gut and what has changed for me since the treatment.
This is my account of receiving a Fecal Microbiota Transplant for IBS/SIBO/gut dysbiosis at the Taymount Clinic in Hitchin, England.
My treatment plan was 5+5, which means that I received 5 implants at the clinic and did the other 5 myself at home.
When I first heard of FMT I had been on restricted healing diets for 1 1/2 years, so the idea of having my microbiome replenished quickly sounded very tempting. Anything that could save me some time on this healing journey was worth a try!
